Alexander Tarkhanov returns to Ural

Alexander Tarkhanov is appointed as a new head coach of "Ural"! According to the club's website, in the nearest future, 62-years old specialist is going to start working with the team and later will be included in the official application of the club for the season.

As a player, Alexander Tarkhanov most of his career spent in the capital's CSKA Moscow, and also played for the USSR national team. The highest achievements in the coaching career, he reached with the "CSKA" and Samara's "Krylia Sovetov" (5th place in the ROSGOSSTRAKH Championship of Russia).

Alexander Tarkhanov already has a successful experience in "Ural". At the end of 2013, he took the reins of the team, which at that time, as now, was in hard tournament situation. In the spring of 2014, "Ural" under his leadership has shown one of the most successful pieces of all time appearances in the Premier League and confidently ended up the season, rising to 11th place.

In the summer of 2015, Alexander Tarkhanov  was appointed as an advisor to the president of FC "Ural", and in December headed Bulgarian football club "Slavia" (Sofia). Under his leadership, "Slavia" took fourth place in the Bulgarian championship and won the right for the first time in 20 years to play in European competitions.

Alexander Tarkhanov will go with "Ural" to Samara to the match of 13th round of ROSGOSSTRAKH Championship of Russia against "Krylia Sovetov". But during the game, the team will be led from the bench by  Yuri Matveyev  as an acting head coach.
