National Team of Russia plays at Akhmat Arena for the first time

National Team of Russia is going to play at Akhmat Arena for the first time in its history. It is going to happen on 15 November. And it will be the match against Romania.

The game will be played in Grozny at Akhmat Arena, kick-off is 19:00 (Moscow time). Live broadcast will be arranged on Pervyi Kanal and Match!Futbol 1.

The match will be officiated by the referees’ team from Belarus: Alexey Kulbakov, Dmitry Zhuk, Oleg Maslyanko.

National Team of Russia has never played at Akhmat Arena before.

Romania does not play very well in FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifying tournament. After a draw at home against Montenegro, they beat Armenia away, but then they shared points with Kazakhstan and after that they lost a home match to Poland with a cricket score.

Our team has had some changed recently. Goalkeeper of FC Rostov Soslan Dzhanaev, who arrived to the training camp with a small injury, left the team. He will continue medical treatment in the club. Instead, goalkeeper of FC Anji from Makhachkala Alexander Belenov joined the team. So, the National team of Russia squad before the team against Romania will be as follows:

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (PFC CSKA Moscow), Alexander Belenov (FC Anji, Makhachkala), Stanislav Kritsyuk (FC Krasnodar).

Midfielders: Yury Gazinsky (FC Krasnodar), Alexander Erokhin (FC Rostov, Rostov-on-Don), Denis Glushakov, Roman Zobnin, Dmitry Kombarov (all - FC Spartak, Moscow), Magomed Ozdoev, Denis Tkachuk  (FC Rubin, Kazan), Alexey Miranchuk, Alexander Samedov (both – FC Lokomotiv, Moscow), Yury Zhirkov, Pavel Mogilevets (FC Zenit, Saint-Petersburg).

Forwards: Alexander Kokorin (FC Zenit, Saint-Petersburg), Kirill Panchenko (FC Dinamo, Moscow), Dmitry Poloz (FC Rostov, Rostov-on-Don).

Head Coach: Stanislav Cherchesov.
