Thinking about vacations

ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship MD 17 matches will be held in the period 3-5 December and after that Russian football will leave on vacations, which will last till March. Four clubs will also play UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches, and the fate of PFC CSKA and Rostov will be determined.

The MD programme will be kicked-off with the match in Moscow where the Army team will be hosting Ural. PFC CSKA managed to return to the third position of the tournament table after beating Orenburg. The team is hardly planning to remain there even with gossips in media about retirement of Leonid Slutskiy in the nearest future. Ural after beating Rostov a little bit improved its tournament position. It is 5 points above the zone of direct relegation now.

An interesting match will take place in Rostov-on-Don, where Zenit will be playing against the local club. Zenit is only 3 points behind Spartak now. Rostov plays very confidently at home, and the opponent is of principle. Even with the fact that the club from Rostov is to play a UCL match against PSV in the beginning of week on the background. This match will determine the 3^rd place in the group, which will allow to continue participation in European Cups – in UEFA Europa League. Zenit has already fulfilled its tasks in this tournament, so it can get ready for the match against Rostov without any trouble. In case of favourable result for Zenit, it can reach the leader in gained points.

On Sunday Lokomotiv is hosting Terek. The team of Yury Semin after a big success in the match against Tom will try to develop its success and continue moving up the tournament table. So far Lokomotiv is on the 11^th position, but they have good chances to get closely to the first eight teams. Terek plays much better at home in the current season, but away matches are not easy for the opponents of Terek. So this match is to be very interesting.

Five matches are to be played on Monday. The matchday will be opened in Ufa with a match of the local team against Tom. The home team will provide supporters with hot tea and food.

An hour later the match in Perm between Amkar and Orenburg will start. The entrance to the stadium will be free. An interesting fact – the club from Perm is still the only one which has not conceded in home matches. For sure the team of Gadzhi  GAdzhiev would want to keep this pleasant statistics before leaving for winter break.

Krasnodar will be hosting Krylia Sovetov at their brand new stadium. And Krylia Sovetov made headlines of the previous matchday after they beat Spartak 4:0. The team from Samara scored 7 goals over their two recent matches, it is almost half of the total number of goals of this team.

In Moscow Spartak is hosting Rubin after a telling blow in Samara. The attack of the team from Moscow does not look so powerful without Ze Luis, but the team of Massimo Carrera needs to win, as Zenit will be able to take its advantage given a chance.

Arsenal and Anji are going to play in Tula. The home team needs points more, but the club from Makhachkala  evidently performs better that its opponents.
