Russian Football Championship is 25!

On 29 March 2017 Russian Football Championship celebrated its 25^th birthday. Four matches which gave start to the new tournament were held on this day in 1992.

"Russian Football Championship continued the Soviet Union competition of the top division clubs. Over a quarter of a century professional football in Russia made a huge step in development. We fully deserve being among the top 6 European club tournament, we are a uniting structure on the post-Soviet territory.

Today we are on the eve of quality changes which are able to bring the Russian football to the new heights.

I would like to congratulate all players, coaches, club staff, veterans who created the glorious history of the Russian football, and of course, all supporters on this important date. A fantastic future awaits us. Football – it’s us!”.
