PFC CSKA started UEFA Champions League with win

On Monday, 25 July, PFC CSKA played against AEK in the first leg match of UEFA Champions League third qualifying round. At OAKA Spiros Luis stadium in Athens the Army team won 2:0.

Dzagoev was the first to prove himself efficient and scored during extra time added to the first half. The second goal was also scored after the set play, this time by Wernbloom. The Greeks were not able to score to Akinfeev and the game ended with the win of the Army team.

The return leg match will be held on 2 August at Arena CSKA in Moscow.
