Spartak was confident in opposing Liverpool

On Tuesday, 26 September, in UEFA Champions League Group Stage MD 2 match FC Spartak hosted FC Liverpool. The game ended in a draw 1:1.

The opener was scored by the Premier League club. Fernando scored from the set-play. The equalizer came several minutes later. Coutinho scored for the English team. Later Spartak made a lot of attempts to score to Liverpool again, but supporters did not see any other goals.

During the second half Artem Rebrov and Alexander Samedov were injured and had to leave the pitch. Russian Football Premier League wishes them the soonest possible recovery.

Next match will be played by Spartak on Tuesday, 17 October, against FC Sevilla at Otkrytie Arena.
