Spartak last minute failure to win

On Tuesday, 21 November, FC Spartak played UEFA Champions League group stage MD 5 match against Maribor. The game ended in a draw - 1:1.

Over the whole match only miracle was saving Maribor. Spartak had a lot of moments in the penalty area of its opponent but they never resulted in a goal. Only in the 82^nd minute the team managed to take the lead due to the goal by Ze Luis. The club from Moscow was to win, but during extra time Mesanovic scored to Selikhov after a well-placed shot and the game ended in a draw.

Liverpool will be the next opponent of FC Spartak. RFPL club needs to win to qualify to UCL Round of 16.
