Krasnodar’s Russia under-21 international defender Dmitri Skopintsev has signed a 4.5-year contract with Dynamo Moscow. The former Rostov player has found playing time limited this season with just 218 minutes in the RPL, scoring one goal.
The versatile 22-year-old can also play at full-back but has played over 80% of matches in the last three seasons in more advanced positions. Dynamo have also loaned out promising winger Vyacheslav Grulev to FNL side Nizhny Novgorod, leaving less potential competition for Skopintsev.
Two seasons ago he scored 10 and assisted four goals before the winter break in the FNL for Baltika Kaliningrad from the wing. He also spent a season at RB Leipzig farm team FC Liefering as an 18-year-old where he played predominantly as a left-back.
