Maciej Wilusz has signed for Ural Ekaterinburg on a free transfer after two and a half years at Rostov. The Polish international defender didn’t play a single minute before the winter break for Valery Karpin’s side, despite sitting on the bench in all but one of their Russian Premier League matches.
In 42 RPL matches for Rostov the 31-year-old scored one goal, and in his whole career has found the net just four times. More importantly, he will be tasked with improving the worst defensive record in the RPL (31 goals conceded in 19 matches).
Wilusz has already arrived in Paphos and taken part in his new club’s training camp alongside compatriots Rafal Augustinyak and Michal Kucharczyk. He will wear the number 5 shirt.
