Three new signings started for Akhmat as they kicked off their winter training friendlies with a 2-1 win over Hungarians Paksi FC in Turkey. Maksim Nenakhov, Vladimir Ilyin and Felipe Vizeu all featured from the start days after having joined the club.
Akhmat dominated the first half an hour comfortably as Ismael Silva drilled home the opener from outside the box. Paksi forward Zsolt Haraszti then hit the bar from close range before Evgeniy Gorodov’s quick reactions kept out a Daniel Bode one-on-one following a slip by Wilker Angel.
Odise Roshi glanced home a simple finish from an inswinging corner just before half time. Ravanelli played the first 45 minutes as he recovers from a cruciate ligament injury that last saw him play nine months ago.
For the second half an entirely new XI entered the fray. Ablaye Mbengue and Andres Ponce both had chances blocked before Bode squeezed a messy penalty past Vitaliy Gudiev with nine minutes left.
Akhmat’s next warmup game will be against Romanians FC Botosani on Monday 20 January.
