Sylvester Igboun’s second-half hattrick spearheaded Dynamo Moscow’s charge as they thrashed Zagrebie Lubin. Maximilian Philipp, Dynamo’s leading Russian Premier League goalscorer, broke the deadlock three minutes before the break, while Kirill Panchenko completed the rout one minute from time.
Konstantin Rausch wasted a glorious chance when through on goal from Philipp’s through ball after 12 minutes and saw another shot from the edge of the box blaze just wide 12 minutes later. Although Dynamo were in complete control, it took another quarter of an hour to go in front when Clinton N’Jie’s driving run down the right was tapped in by Philipp from close range.
Dynamo were getting a lot of joy from out wide. Oscar Hiljemark lobbed a cross in from acres of space for Igboun to head home his first after an hour before Miguel Cardoso laid the Nigerian’s second on a plate to tap in almost 10 minutes later.
Igboun headed his hattrick goal from Panchenko’s free kick in the left channel with 11 minutes to go. After a conceding a penalty five minutes later, Cardoso provided his second assist by crossing to Panchenko to bundle in a fifth goal in the last minute.
Dynamo will return home for a break before returning to Turkey for their second training camp. Their next fixture is pencilled in for next Tuesday, 28 January, against lechia Gdansk.
