Orenburg again lost by a single goal margin as they lost 3-2 to Slavia Sofia on Tuesday to make it two defeats from two. Sloppy defending and goalkeeping cost Konstantin Emelyanov’s team all three goals.
It wasn’t until the last quarter of an hour when Orenburg got on the scoresheet with a precise bottom-corner finish from Georgi Zotov. Artem Kulishev’s late penalty reduced arrears but was too late to improve the result.
This fixture marked the end of Orenburg’s first winter training camp. They will return to Turkey on Sunday 26 January for their second camp, although they don’t have specific opponents confirmed as of yet.
