Arsenal Tula pegged back by late Korona Kielce equaliser

print version

Arsenal Tula maintained their unbeaten winter training match schedule with a 1-1 draw against Polish side Korona Kielce on Saturday. The result follows wins over Kesla FK of Azerbaijan and Sepsi from Romania.

Arsenal’s most dangerous moment of the first half came when Aleksandr Lomovitskiy curled a first-time shot from Vladislav Pantaleev’s clever backheel wide. Other than a couple of hopeful long shots, there were few real chances.

Sergey Tkachev’s shot was turned in by Korona’s Michael Gardawski for an own goal eight minutes after half time. A quarter of an hour from the end, Milan Radin - who had joined Arsenal Tula’s training camp on trial four years ago - embarked on a mazy, penetrating dribble towards Arsenal’s box.

When he was brought down by a clumsy Georgi Kostadinov challenge, he took the resultant free kick quickly to feed Bojan Cecaric. The 26-year-old Serbian trialist levelled the score with a strong finish.
