Lokomotiv Moscow ended their first training camp in Spain with a 1-1 draw against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on Sunday. After an entertaining 3-3 draw with FCSB and a 2-0 defeat to Osijek Yuri Semin’s side are yet to win in their winter training schedule.
Both sides had good early chances. Dmitri Barinov flashed a header from a corner inches over the bar before Rifat Zhemaletdinov’s low shot was blocked.
Sandwiched by those two first-half Lokomotiv moments, Jeonbuk’s Seung-ki Lee volleyed over from eight yards out when unmarked. Ten minutes after the break Lee made no mistake by threading a close-range finish through Anton Kochenkov’s legs.
On 65 minutes Anton and Aleksey Miranchuk combined to feed Barinov rushing into the six-yard area. Although his first-time shot came back off the far post, Eder was on hand to bundle in the loose ball after some clumsy defending.
Lokomotiv return home for a short break before flying out to Qatar’s Aspire Academy on Friday 31 January. There, they will take part in the Match Premier Cup alongside fellow Russian Premier League sides Spartak Moscow, Rostov and Serbian powerhouses Partizan Belgrade.
