After spending time on trial this winter, Dmitriy Tarasov had signed a contract with Rubin Kazan. The agreement will last until the end of the 2019/20 season, according to the club’s official announcement.
The 32-year-old's contract with Lokomotiv Moscow ended last summer and Tarasov was granted free agent status. He had played for the Railwaymen since 2010, winning the Russian Premier Liga title and the Russian Cup three times.
In total the former Spartak Moscow youth product has played 231 times in the Russian Premier Liga across 15 seasons for Tom Tomsk, FC Moscow and Lokomotiv. In addition, Tarasov played eight games for the Russian national team and scored the winning goal in a friendly match against South Korea in 2013.
