print version

On Tuesday 3 March, the draw for the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League group stages was held in Amsterdam. Russia were placed in Group 3 of League B alongside Serbia, Hungary and Turkey. Stanislav Cherchesov's team will play their opening match on September 3-5 against Serbia.

League B

Group 1: Austria, Norway, Northern Ireland, Romania

Group 2: Czech Republic, Scotland, Slovakia, Israel

Group 4: Wales, Finland, Ireland, Bulgaria

In the group stage of the tournament teams will play each other home and away. Unlike the inaugural edition, which gave four teams passage to the 2020 UEFA European Championships playoffs, the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League will only provide two places at the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs.

3 September: Russia vs Serbia

6 September: Hungary vs Russia

9 October: Russia vs Turkey

12 October: Russia vs Hungary

14 November: Turkey vs Russia

The final stage of the UEFA Nations League will take place on 2, 3 and 6 June 2021. The playoffs for the 2022 FIFA World Cup - and the relegation playoffs from UEFA Nations League League C - will take place on 24-25 and 28-29 March 2022.
