The Russian Cup quarter-final between Shinnik and FC Ural, which was to be held today in Yaroslavl, has been postponed due to the unavailability of the stadium. The date and place of the match will be announced later.
“The decision was made on the basis of article 4.18. Of the Russian Cup regulations,” the official statement on the Russian Football Union’s website read. “At the moment, the field at the stadium in Yaroslavl is not ready for the game.
“FC Shinnik will compensate FC Ural and the RFU for part of the expenses for organising the match according to the regulations of the Russian Cup.”
FC Ural’s home stadium, the Centralniy Stadium in Ekaterinburg, has been selected to host this season’s Russian Cup final.
