Matchday 22 of the Russian Premier Liga not only brought us the second-highest total of goals this season - Matchday 10 produced one more with 28 - but also some spectacular goals.
Zenit’s midfielder Malcom scored his first goal for the club in the RPL’s highest-scoring fixture in 2019-20. Although Sardar Azmoun bagged his first ever hat-trick as a professional in the same game, he also assisted Sebastian Driussi for a fantastic count-attacking team goal.
There were also moments of individual brilliance. At the other end of the scale the RPL’s lowest scorers, Rubin Kazan, broke their goalless streak with Zuriko Davitashvili’s inventive strike, while Ezequiel Ponce was equally acrobatic to finish from close range for Spartak Moscow.
