Foreign staff and players return to Russia

print version

The Russian Premier Liga has completed the first stage of preparation for the season's restart after foreign staff and players returned to Russia. For the next phase, the RPL has created a task force to help interaction between authorities and clubs.

"We have completed the first, and very important, stage of our road map for the resumption of the championship - all foreign players and staff who were supposed to return have arrived back in our country. I thank the government, representatives of the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Air Transport Agency, border services, the Russian Football Union directors and everyone who participated in this process. This was important not only for the resumption of this season, but also for the organization of the next one," said RPL President Sergey Pryadkin.

To effectively interact with federal and regional authorities and clubs on the resumption of the season, the RPL has established a task force. It will be headed by the president of the RPL.

"The task force will be in constant contact with representatives of the authorities and will collect and process all data from clubs on a daily basis. Each club has a person responsible for interacting and exchanging information on testing issues, the health of players and staff, current regional restrictions and any other information that is of key importance for the resumption of the RPL," added Pryadkin.
