After hanging up his boots, the defender will take up coaching.
Aleksandr Anyukov made his debut in the Russian top flight on 14 October 2000 for Krylia Sovetov Samara against Zenit St. Petersburg. He helped Krylia finish third in the 2004 season.
The following year the defender moved to Zenit, for whom he played until 2018. As a member of the St. Petersburg club, Anyukov won the RPL five times, the Russian Cup twice, the Russian Super Cup four times, as well as the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2008.
This season, Anyukov has played for Krylia Sovetov on loan, making 18 appearances for his first RPL club.
