print version

FC Sochi 1-1 Dynamo Moscow
Wednesday 1 July, Fisht Olympic Stadium

Goals: FC Sochi - Kokorin (pen 90+2); Dynamo - Komlichenko (pen 57’)

Man of the Match: Dmitri Skopintsev (Dynamo Moscow)

Sent off: Toni Sunjic (Dynamo)

A pair of penalties from Nikolay Komlichenko and Aleksandr Kokorin earned FC Sochi and Dynamo Moscow a point apiece. Toni Sunjic was sent off in the second half for Dynamo, and the numerical advantage eventually told for Sochi.

Kokorin came closest in the first half when he smashed a volley narrowly wide of Anton Shunin’s left post, with Dynamo’s keeper rooted to the spot.

Ten minutes after the break Komlichenko - who had come off the bench in a triple swap alongside Maximilian Philipp and Oscar Hiljemark - was wrested to the ground by Ivan Miladinovic. He stepped up himself to take the resulting penalty, and although Soslan Dzhanaev got a foot to the shot he couldn’t keep it out.

Toni Sunjic was sent off going into the last 20 minutes after picking up his second booking for a foul on Aleksandr Kokorin. The free kick was deflected behind, and although Miladinovic headed in from a brief scramble it was disallowed for an earlier challenge.

Miladinovic earned his side a vital reprieve in added time though when he was fouled in the area by Grigoriy Morozov. Kokorin took the spot kick successfully to earn a share of the spoils.

FC Sochi face Lokomotiv Moscow next away on Saturday 4 July, while Dynamo Moscow host Arsenal Tula on the same day.

FC Sochi: Dzhanaev, Miladinovic, Novoseltsev (Noboa 76’), Mevlja, Margasov, Tsallagov (Karapetyan 85’), Burmistrov, Zaika, Kokorin, Mostovoy, Zabalotniy (Poloz 65’)

Dynamo Moscow: Shunin, Morozov, Sunjic, Ordets, Skopintsev, Neustadter, Yusupov (Hiljemark 46’), Joaozinho, Panchenko (Philipp 46’ (Rykov 75’)), Rausch (Komlichenko 46’), Igboun (Pliev 65’)
