According to InStat data, here is the best XI from RPL matchday 25.
Goalkeeper: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow)
InStat Index: 334
The RPL’s clean sheet record holder added his 212th league shutout against Spartak Moscow thanks to making two saves and successfully intercepting two passes. Nine of his 13 attempted long passes found their target.
Right-back: Vladislav Ignatyev (Lokomotiv Moscow)
InStat Index: 307
Although Ignatyev was only on the pitch for 52 minutes he wasted little time getting involved in attack, attempting more key passes and passes into the penalty area than any other right-back, as well as successfully completing six of seven attempted take-ons. He also won all four of his aerial challenges.
Left-back: Douglas Santos (Zenit St. Petersburg)
InStat Index: 324
Douglas Santos attempted more passes overall - and specifically ones into the area - than all other left-backs. He won over half his challenges while also taking two shots at goal.
Centre-back: Maksim Osipenko (FC Rostov)
InStat Index: 321
Osipenko won a position-high 12 aerial challenges in the RPL’s longest ever match against FC Krasnodar, but didn’t concede a single foul. No other centre-back made more interceptions than his 12.
Centre-back: Jemal Tabidze (FC Ufa)
InStat Index: 314
Tabidze only lost two of his 14 challenges while also keeping a clean sheet. He successfully dispossessed more opponents (6) than any other centre-back.
Defensive midfield: Yuriy Gazinskiy (FC Krasnodar)
InStat Index: 315
Only one other defensive midfielder had a higher pass completion success rate than Gazinskiy’s (93%). In a tightly-fought derby he was clean, not giving away a single free-kick.
Left midfield: Kirill Zaika (FC Sochi)
InStat Index: 311
Zaika made a joint-high four interceptions for his position in the opposition half, while also completing both attempting take-ons and one key pass. Two of his three passes into the penalty area found their target.
Right midfield: Aleksey Miranchuk (Lokomotiv Moscow)
InStat Index: 441
Yet again Aleksey Miranchuk was the saviour for Lokomotiv with his fourth goal in three games, but his contributions didn’t end in that category. He had six shots on goal and completed more than double the number of key passes as the next highest ranked right midfielder.
Attacking midfield: Nikola Vlasic (CSKA Moscow)
InStat Index: 402
CSKA’s top goalscorer bagged another two against Spartak Moscow, thanks partly to having more shots on goal (6) than any other attacking midfielder. He attempted more attacking challenges than his positional peers while also succeeding with five of his seven attempted take-ons.
Striker: Sardar Azmoun (Zenit St. Petersburg)
InStat Index: 307
Azmoun broke the deadlock for the league leaders with his 11th goal of the season. He had the most shots, and shots on target, in his position, and was the only striker to win all of his aerial challenges.
Striker: Andres Ponce (Akhmat Grozny)
InStat Index: 303
Not only did Ponce assist Evgeniy Kharin for Akhmat’s first goal, he also won the penalty that Odise Roshi converted. He completed both his attempted key passes and both attempted passes into the area, and only misplaced two of his 12 attempted passes overall.
