With all of their first-team players who had been forced into quarantine back in action, FC Rostov couldn’t break down a stubborn Krylia Sovetov Samara, despite holding a man advantage for half an hour. 

Halfway through the first half, Vladimir Poluyakhtov was shown a red card for catching Dmitri Chistyakov’s knee with his studs. The balance was restored shortly after half time when Danila Vedernikov was sent off for a high boot.

Krylia Sovetov Samara are away to Arsenal Tula next on Tuesday 7 July, while FC Rostov host FC Ufa the day after.
