Zenit crowned 2019/20 RPL champions

This is the earliest a Russian Premier Liga title winner has been decided.

Zenit sealed the RPL championship thanks to their 4-2 victory over Krasnodar on matchday 26. In 26 matches Zenit won 19, drew five and lost two. The St. Petersburg club scored 55 goals - the most in the league - and conceded the least with 12.

After 26 matchdays, Zenit’s and the RPL’s top goalscorer remains Artem Dzyuba with 16 goals. He also tops the table of assist makers with 15 assists.

This title was the sixth for Zenit in the RPL (2007, 2010, 2011/12, 2014/15, 2018/19 and 2019/20) and seventh in overall national championships (they also won the USSR championship in 1980).
