Honours even in Moscow derby after Aleksey Miranchuk’s 10th goal of the season

Aleksey Miranchuk’s 10th goal of the season cancelled out Ezequiel Ponce’s strike to leave a tightly-fought derby level. Domenico Tedesco was sent off in the aftermath of the penalty decision for the equaliser.

Ezequiel Ponce glanced a header from Ayrton Lucas’ inswinging cross just inside Anton Kochenkov’s far post, with the Lokomotiv keeper slow to react. 

Moments later Nail Umyarov tangled with Aleksey Miranchuk in the box, leaving the Lokomotiv playmaker to convert his fifth goal under Marko Nikolic from the spot.

Spartak Moscow are away to FC Sochi next on Saturday 11 July, while Lokomotiv Moscow host FC Ufa on Sunday 12 July.
