Philipp and Komlichenko penalties sink Krylia

First-half penalties from Maximilian Philipp and Nikolay Komlichenko were enough for Dynamo Moscow to condemn Krylia Sovetov Samara to defeat and leave them in the relegation zone. Zaurbek Pliev was sent off in added time for the hosts.

After 14 minutes, Maximilian Philipp struck his eighth goal of the season from the spot after he was brought down himself by a sprawling Evgeny Frolov. After Sergey Karasev confirmed the penalty after a VAR review, Frolov got a touch to Philipp’s shot but couldn’t keep it out.

Ten minutes later and it was Komlichenko’s turn from the spot after Maksim Karpov was penalised for noodling over Vladimir Rykov from Philipp’s free kick.

Dynamo Moscow take on FC Ufa away next on Thursday 16 July, while Krylia Sovetov Samara host FC Krasnodar on Wednesday 15 July.
