FC Krasnodar 0-2 Dynamo Moscow
Sunday 19 July, Krasnodar Stadium
Goals: Dynamo - Grulev (26’), Joaozinho (90’)
Man of the Match: Vyacheslav Grulev (Dynamo)
Sent Off: Krasnodar - Matvey Safonov (17’)
Vyacheslav Grulev’s deflected shot and Joaozinho’s late long-range strike were the difference as Dynamo Moscow disrupted FC Krasnodar’s Champions League group-stage plans. Matvey Safonov was sent off early on for a challenge outside his area on Grulev and despite considerable pressure from the hosts Dynamo held on.
With the scores still level after quarter of an hour, Safonov came charging out of his goal to challenge Grulev, but only made contact with the man and was sent off. It was Grulev who then gave the visitors the lead via a deflection off Egor Sorokin from the edge of the area.
With added time approaching, Joaozinho was fed by Clinton N’Jie well outside the area, and the Brazilian-born winger made no mistake against his former club.
FC Krasnodar host Akhmat Grozny on Wednesday 22 July, while Dynamo Moscow host bottom side FC Orenburg.
