RPL General Meeting votes for changes to regulatory documents

The changes will affect the rules for loaned players.

The RPL clubs voted to eliminate the practice of additional transfer payments, and restrictions on the participation of a loaned player against the parent club.

In addition, the clubs have proposed limiting the number of players who can go on loan from one RPL club to another, from 7 August, to two players per season.

At the same time, no more than two players who have moved on loan from one RPL club to another from 1 July 2020 can enter the field as part of the same team.

These proposals will be considered by the RFU Executive Committee Bureau.
