Hashimoto heads late Rostov winner against 10-man Ufa

Kento Hashimoto scored his first goal for Rostov to earn a precious three points away to Ufa. Shortly before the break, Vyacheslav Krotov caught Aleksey Kozlov with his studs and was sent off after a VAR review. 

The hosts held out until just over 10 minutes to go, when Hashimoto - on his first start for Rostov - stooped at the back post to nod home Baktiyor Zaynutdinov’s left-footed cross. In the closing stages Dmitri Poloz came off the bench for his second Rostov debut having signed this week from FC Sochi.

Ufa remain on four points, while Rostov leapfrog them and move up to six.

FC Ufa travel to face Rubin Kazan next on Wednesday 26 August, while FC Rostov host Ural Ekaterinburg on the same day.
