RPL matches to be broadcast in Brazil and the United States

The new partners of the Russian Premier Liga will be Band TV and fuboTV.

FuboTV will get exclusive rights to show two fixtures of each RPL matchday in the United States. Matches will be shown on the OTT platform with English-language commentary.

Band TV will get the broadcast rights to RPL matches in Brazil. The company will show four games each matchday, with one game being broadcast on a public channel. Both contracts run until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The Russian Premier Liga continues to exercise its own international rights. For the purpose of audience research, from March 2019 to February 2020, RPL freely broadcast matches on YouTube outside of Russia without commentary. In February 2020, RPL was the first league in the world to launch a paid subscription service for live match broadcasts based on YouTube’s new Membership function.

RPL broadcast rights are implemented in Spain (LaLigaSportsTV), the Balkan countries and Cyprus (Telestare), the CIS countries, Georgia and Ukraine (Q SPORT) and Hong Kong (I-Cable).
