Lokomotiv Moscow and Atalanta have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Aleksey Miranchuk to the Italian club. The transfer will be finalised when he passes the medical examination.

“I want to thank all Lokomotiv fans,” Miranchuk said. “Here, together with you, I became a professional football player and a man. We won everything together. With a clear heart, I want to thank everyone for being there in difficult and easy moments. It's time to follow my dream. I know you'll be worried about me. And I'm here for you. I'm not saying goodbye! I'll see you around!”

Miranchuk came through the Lokomotiv academy after moving from Spartak Moscow’s youth setup at a young age. He made his debut for the main team on 20 April 2013 against Kuban Krasnodar. During his nine seasons with Lokomotiv, Miranchuk played 228 games, scoring 43 goals and making 45 assists.

Together with Lokomotiv, Miranchuk became the champion of Russia, won the Russian Cup three times and the Super Cup once.
