Rotor vs Krasnodar match called off

The Russian Premier Liga task force have commented on the matchday seven fixture between Rotor Volgograd and FC Krasnodar.

On 12 September, seven positive tests for coronavirus were detected at Rotor. The affected players were then isolated from the rest of the team. On 13 September, Rotor’s remaining representatives were retested, with new cases of the disease subsequently identified.

As of 17:45 MSK, the RPL had not received the results of the investigation or the decision of the Volgograd region department of Rospotrebnadzor on whether the match could go ahead. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the Volgograd team and the inability to ensure the safety of the match, the RPL matchday seven fixture between Rotor and Krasnodar will not take place.
