Ejuke debut goal seals pulsating Moscow derby win for CSKA

Nikola Vlasic put CSKA ahead on the stroke of half time in the Moscow derby against Spartak, for whom Aleksandr Kokorin made his debut. Ezequiel Ponce had given Spartak an early lead before Hordur Magnusson’s header drew the hosts level. The gloss was applied in added time when Chidera Ejuke finished confidently past Aleksandr Maksimenko from Ivan Oblyakov’s pass for his first RPL goal.

CSKA have almost closed the gap to Spartak as they sit one point behind in fourth ahead of their trip to face FC Ufa next on Sunday 20 September. Spartak stay second on 14 points, one behind leaders FC Sochi, with a trip to face Rubin Kazan up next on the same day.
