On the situation with Rotor

print version

The safety of all Russian Premier Liga match participants is a priority for the league. All decisions on holding games are made in accordance with the health regulations which dictate the course of actions in such situations, and which were approved by all RPL clubs.

In particular, in accordance with paragraph 1.2.3 of the health regulations, if there are coronavirus cases among the club's representatives, it is the regional Rospotrebnadzor that makes the final decision on determining the contact group and allowing individuals to participate in training sessions and matches.

The RPL matchday seven fixture between Rotor Volgograd and FC Krasnodar did not take place due to positive coronavirus tests for a large group of Rotor representatives and the lack of instructions from the Volgograd region department of Rospotrebnadzor two hours before the start of the match.

As of 17 September, Rotor provided the RPL task force with an order from the regional Rospotrebnadzor to isolate infected persons and the contact group. Other representatives of the club are being regularly tested.

The final decision whether to hold the matchday eight fixture between Rostov and Rotor will be made on the basis of the relevant decision of the Volgograd region department of Rospotrebnadzor.
