Georgi Melkadze set the tone for what turned out to be a comfortable home win for Akhmat over Ural with a second-minute opener. Bernard Berisha squeezed a penalty under Ilya Pomazun for the second in the second half when Ural had already been reduced to 10 men for 20 minutes; the score could have been higher if former Ural striker Vladimir Ilyin had not seen his first-half spot kick kept out by Pomazun.

Akhmat move up to eighth on 13 points, while Ural stay 11th on 10.
