Krasnodar ease past Rubin ahead of Champions League group-stage debut

Remy Cabella’s penalty in first half added time and Kristoffer Olsson’s first goal of the season helped a new-look Krasnodar starting lineup see off Rubin Kazan. In added time Marcus Berg tapped in a rebound before Carl Starfelt headed in a consolation with the last touch of the game. Evgeny Chernov, Evgeny Markov and Aleksey Ionov all made their debuts for Murad Musaev’s men as they rotated ahead of the club’s debut in the Champions League group stages next week.

Krasnodar jump up two places to sixth on 18 points, while Rubin remain ninth on 15 points.
