Aleksandr Karapetyan dragged Tambov out of the relegation zone with a second half strike, before German Onughkha secured the points late on. Zuriko Davitashvili had missed a penalty for the hosts before the break. 

Rotor stay bottom of the table on three points, while Tambov jump up to 12th on 11 points.
