Krasnodar earned their second straight loss in the Champions League group stage after winning the first half at Sevilla. For the Russian team match started with a penalty due to Magomed Shapi Suleymanov handball, but after using VAR referee Felix Brych cancelled it. Just seven minutes later it was Suleymanov, who opened the score from the free kick. In the next attack Marcus Berg earned a penalty, which was set by Brych with the help of VAR, and Swedish striker increased the lead from the spot.
Before the break Sevilla struck back with Ivan Rakitic header, but in the added time left with ten men - Jesus Navas was sent off following the foul on Kristoffer Olsson near the penalty box. Despite having one man down, the hosters scored twice in three minutes thanks to Youssef En-Nesyri, who made a double after coming from the bench on the 60th minute.
Sevilla are second in the group on seven points, while Krasnodar are third on one point.
