On 16 November, four Russian Premier Liga players helped their national teams in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Group B: Malawi 0-0 Burkina Faso
Dynamo player Charles Kabore was named in the starting line-up with the captain's armband and spent the entire 90 minutes on the pitch, playing for his national team for the first time in 365 days. On 17 November 2019, he took part in the 2-1 win against South Sudan. Also playing against Malawi was Khimki striker Mohamed Konate, who came on as a substitute in the 68th minute. After four matchdays Burkina Faso lead group B with eight points, one point ahead of second-placed Uganda.
Group F: Botswana 1-0 Zambia
Arsenal midfielder Kings Kangwa played from the first minute and was substituted at half-time with his team losing 1-0. Evans Kangwa did not feature in the game. After the defeat, the Zambians were left with three points and dropped to last place in the group. Botswana in third place have four points, while Zimbabwe have five.
Group H: Mozambique 0-2 Cameroon
Dynamo forward Clinton N'Jie played 61 minutes for Cameroon and was substituted with the visitors 1-0 up. Cameroon now have 10 points, and are six points ahead of second-placed Mozambique.
Two teams from each group will advance to the finals, which will be held from January to February 2022 in Cameroon.
