Bernard Berisha scored a delicate panenka penalty to seal an impressive point for Akhmat as they extended their unbeaten run at home to Zenit to six league games. Zenit twice took the lead - first through former Akhmat midfielder Daler Kuzyaev’s brilliant finish, and later through Dejan Lovren’s thumping header right after the break - but both times stand-in captain Berisha pulled the hosts level. In added time, Yaroslav Rakitskiy was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Akhmat go up to fifth on 24 points, while Zenit go top of the table on 31 points.
