Khimki lift clear of relegation zone with win in Ufa

Khimki gave their survival chances a major boost by beating rock-bottom Ufa away from home. Ilya Kukharchuk broke the deadlock with a cool finish after only five minutes, before Aleksandr Troshechkin poked home a loose ball in the box before half time. With less than 10 minutes to go, Bojan Jokic slid in a consolation from close range, but the hosts couldn’t complete the fightback.

Ufa remain rooted to the bottom of the table on seven points, while Khimki edge up into 12th on 15 points.
