Krasnodar made their RPL debut in the 2011-12 season, playing their first game on 12 March 2011 in Makhachkala where they drew 0-0 against Anzhi. The Black-Greens’ first goal was scored by Igor Pikushchak in the 34th minute of their matchday two fixture against Spartak Nalchik, which gave Krasnodar their debut victory in the RPL with a 2-0 scoreline.
Krasnodar have never been relegated from the RPL, and have finished third three times - in the 2014/15, 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. During this time, they have picked up 140 wins, suffered 79 defeats and drawn 81 times. The club's all-time top scorer in the league is Fedor Smolov with 53 goals, and the record appearance holder is Yury Gazinsky, who played his 180th match for the club in Khimki.
