Ufa off bottom with first win in 14 RPL matches

print version

FC Ufa 4-0 FC Tambov
Sunday 29 November, Neftyanik Stadium

Goals: Ufa - Zhamaletdinov (10, 54), Kamilov (45+1), Mrzljak (79)
Sent off: Tambov - Gritsaenko (37)
Man of the Match: Timur Zhamaletdinov (Ufa)

Timur Zhamaletdinov’s double helped drag Ufa off the bottom of the table with their first win in 14 RPL matches. The former CSKA Moscow forward struck early on before Aleksey Gritsaenko was sent off before the break. Vladislav Kamilov extended Ufa’s lead in first-half added time before Zhamaletdinov made it three soon after half time. Filip Mrzljak bagged his first goal for the club to equal the club’s biggest league win in two and a half years. The margin could have been greater if Komnen Andric hadn’t failed to convert his added time spot kick, but Valeriu Ciuperca also missed a penalty for the visitors.

Ufa head up to 15th on 10 points, while Tambov are one place above them on 12 points.

Next RPL fixtures: Saturday 5 December - Spartak Moscow vs FC Tambov; Sunday 6 December - FC Rostov vs FC Ufa
