CSKA were given a real scare by in-form Khimki, despite taking the lead shortly before half time through Nikola Vlasic, to move level on points with Spartak and Zenit at the top of the table. Ilya Kukharchuk levelled matter at the start of a frantic 10-minute spell at the beginning of the second half, which saw Igor Cherevchenko’s men take a shock lead thanks to Reziuan Mirzov’s fourth goal in six matches before Ilya Shkurin’s equaliser.

CSKA stay third on 33 points, while Khimki stay 12th on 19 points.
