Krasnodar get a draw at Stamford Bridge in the final Champions League matchday

The first Champions League group stage campaign ended for Krasnodar with a draw against Chelsea in London. Both teams scored in the middle of the first half: the RPL side opened the score thanks to Remy Cabella, who faced Chelsea in the English Premier League as a Newcastle player. But the visitors’ lead lasted just for four minutes: Jorginho, who missed a penalty in the first leg at Krasnodar Stadium, converted from the spot after Kaio’s foul on Tammy Abraham.

The second group fixture Rennes vs Sevilla ended with Spanish side 3-1 win.

Chelsea go through as group winners on 14 points, while Krasnodar finish third on five points and enter the Europa League knockout stages in the spring. The last 32 stage draw will take place on 14 December.
