Christian Noboa’s spectacular strike was the difference as Sochi put a spanner in Spartak’s title challenge in the south of Russia. The Ecuadorian struck after the break with his eighth goal of the season, and stretched Sochi’s remarkable unbeaten home record to 15 matches.

Sochi go up to fifth on 30 points, while Spartak stay second on 35 points.
