RPL teams’ winter training camps: Khimki play two matches, Rostov defeat Spanish side Algeciras 

On 20 January, RPL teams played friendly matches at their training camps before the 2020/21 season restart.

FC Khimki 1-1 Septemvri

Khimki played two matches in Turkey on 20 January. In the first game, Igor Cherevchenko’s men met with a team from the Bulgarian Second League. Pavel Mogilevets scored the only goal for Khimki in the 23rd minute.

FC Khimki 4-3 Radnicki

In the second match, Khimki faced the fourth-placed team in the Serbian Superliga. In the first 43 minutes, Khimki scored four goals: Mohamed Konate scored a hat-trick, and Reziuan Mirzov added a fourth. On 24 January, the Moscow Region team will meet Celje from Slovenia.

FC Rostov 5-1 Algeciras

Rostov, who are holding a training camp in Spain, played against Algericas from the third-tier Segunda B. After the first half, Valery Karpin’s side were 1-0 up thanks to a goal by Pontus Almqvist. In the second half Armin Gigovic, Dmitry Poloz, Khoren Bayramyan and Vladimir Obukhov got on the scoresheet. On 24 January, Rostov will play Swedish side Ostersunds.
