On 5 February, four teams played friendly matches at their training camps before the resumption of the 2020/21 season.

Rubin Kazan 2-3 Dynamo Moscow

Rubin and Dynamo met at their training camps in Turkey. Djordje Despotovic scored a double from the penalty spot for the former, while Sebastian Szymanski, Daniil Fomin and Nikolay Komlichenko scored for the Blue-Whites. On 9 February, Leonid Slutsky's team will play Nizhny Novgorod.

Lokomotiv Moscow 4-0 Ostersunds

The Railwaymen took on the Swedish Top League side and scored all the goals in the first half of the game. Francois Kamano scored a double, while Rifat Zhemaletdinov and Eder also scored. On 9 February, the Muscovites will play against Krasnodar-II.

Slavia Sofia 1-3 Rotor Volgograd 

Rotor beat Slavia, who play in the Bulgarian First League. Oleg Aleynik, Ilya Kozhukhar and Andres Ponce scored for the Russian side. On 6 February, Aleksandr Khatskevich's men will meet Montenegrin outfit Budochnost.
