Miroslav Romaschenko leaves Akhmat

Akhmat Grozny officially confirmed the departure of head coach Miroslav Romaschenko.

Coach announced the decision after losing 0-1 to Orenburg in Regions Path quarterfinal of Russian Cup. Club noted in official statement, that the information on responsible for preparations to RPL Week 23 fixture against Lokomotiv, scheduled on 7 April, will be announced later.

Romaschenko became Akhmat head coach on 18 August after Sergey Tashuev parted ways with the club. Coach came back to Grozny, where he had been working as Stanislav Cherchesov assistant from 2011 to 2013. Team played 17 matches in RPL under Romaschenko getting four wins, five draws and eight losses. In first league games after winter break Akhmat beat Ural, but then lost to Dynamo and Rubin. Akhmat go twelfth with 20 points in RPL standings after Week 22.
