print version

On 16 February, the RPL General Meeting was held online. The clubs made the following decisions:

1. To support the proposals of the RFU Refereeing Committee on the financial motivation of referees and the new logistics scheme, according to which the RFU will act as an agent instead of the host club. The General Meeting proposed to introduce changes from the 2021/22 season and to create a task force to interact with the Referees' Committee to finalize the reform.

2. To approve the introduction of an additional substitution in case of suspected traumatic brain injury. It can be carried out regardless of the number of substitutions previously made in the match. In the event of such a substitution, the injured player cannot continue to participate in the match. After the game, the club must conduct a medical examination of the player within two days and provide all information to the RFU medical service within five days.

3. To adopt amendments to the Sanitary Regulations. Now, when placing spectators, clubs determine the social distance in accordance with the requirements of the regional health authorities. Previously, they had to provide seating with a distance between the fans of at least 1.5 metres.

Also, clubs must ensure that not only the coaches but also at least two players who played the entire game take part in the post-match press conference. In addition, the clubs approved the admission of photojournalists to the clean zone, but before, during the break, and after the match, they must be behind the first advertising boards.

To get a QR code to the clean zone, you must provide the league with a negative test for coronavirus, passed at least 72 hours before the game, or a positive test for the presence of antibodies.

4. To vote for the calendar structure for the 2021/22 season, in which the RPL starts on 25 July 2021, and ends on 22 May 2022.

5. To support the early allocation of mandatory payments from the RPL to FC Tambov, but in compliance with the club's requirements, to include the restructuring of salary debts and obtain guarantees for additional subsidies from other sources.

Tambov also notified the league of the team's withdrawal from the Russian Youth Championship. After 14 rounds, Tambov occupy seventh place in Group A with 14 points.
